Mesotherapy Treatments

What is Needle-Free Mesotherapy?

The original mesotherapy treatment was developed in France during the 1950’s. The technique of the treatment was to inject specific compounds into the skin with very fine needles to stimulate the mesoderm or middle layer and improve appearance, tone and texture. “Needles”- With advancements of technology have improved the treatment by designing a more comfortable solution. Needle-free mesotherapy is a safe, painless and non-bruising alternative, where natural extracts or vitamin rich serums, are passed into the layer of fat & connective tissue under the skin using a hand held LED probe which emits an ultrasonic and microcurrent vibration. This is also known as iontophoresis.

How does it work?

The treatment is made with the use of specific microcurrents to let active substances penetrate deep into the skin. It’s a revolutionary system that temporarily re-adjusts the structure of epidermal cells to create new microscopic channels (aquaporines) that will allow for the infusion of product. Unlike a topical serum that nourishes the outer layers of your skin; the mesotherapy infusion goes deeper and replenishes your skin from the inside. This process (electroporation) stimulates your skin to enable muscle toning, increases blood and oxygen circulation with the skin cells, improve hydration and increase skin metabolism, draining of liquids from intercellular space and the stimulate production of new collagen and elastin fibres.

What are the functions of the Ultrasound LED Probes?

The Ultrasound LED probes that can be used will be determined by the skin therapist once your skin concerns have been addressed. During your treatment a combination of the probes may be used to create the ultimate treatment for you.

· Small Mesotherapy current probe: This is usually used area the eye area to help lift and firm the delicate skin. It can also be used around the mouth and nasal-labial folds to lift and plump.

· Mesotherapy current probe: This probe is used over the face, neck and décolletage to lift and firm the skin. It will improve the appearance of skin that is/has lost some of its elasticity.

· Red Photon probe: Can be used over the face, neck and décolletage to infuse the product into your skin. This probe has a red LED light that activates the photoreceptors within the skin. which will feel warm whilst a gentle pulsating action will stimulate the skin cells and facial muscles.

· Blue Cold Press probe: Used over the face, neck and décolletage to infuse the product into your skin. The cold surface temperature of the device can be as low as 5 degrees. A cool pulsating action will be felt on the skin which will aid to minimise the appearance of large pores, reduce the visibility of capillaries and can also aid clearing of breakouts.

What does it feel like?

It’s virtually pain free. A slight tingling sensation may be felt, like having a massage. Depending on your skin type and your concerns, a warm vibration is experienced for those wanting anti-ageing treatments and a cool vibration is experienced from clients that have sensitive or acnaeic skin types.
